This replica Nautical Mark V Iron & Brass Diving Helmet is 18 inches tall. The navy diver helmet is made of iron & brass metal and has 4 glass viewports that are guarded with protective brass grills.

The US Navy Mark V Helmet was a remarkable achievement for it's time. The helmet was manufactured by many different companies but all parts were still interchangeable as all USN Mark V helmets had to conform to the Bureau of Ships standards. The front viewport known as the faceplate was unique to the Mark V as it could be opened to allow the diver to talk to his tenders without removing the bonnet. The Mark V was used by the US Navy from 1916 up to 1984.
