This museum quality, highly detailed, America's Cup Collection, U.K. Challenger 1930, yacht model is Brand New, fully assembled and ready for display (not a kit), you just need to fold up the mast.
Shipped with the masts and sails folded down, assembles in minutes. All the sails are made of cloth and are adjustable with working lines.
The Shamrock V Yacht model is scratched built plank on bulkhead by skillful and creative master craftsmen. It was built according to scale through original plans, pictures and drawings.
Only high quality wood and metal were used to build the model, absolutely no plastic parts. Each section of this Shamrock model sailboat is accented with mahogany, teak and other fine woods. This beautiful model is resting on a solid wooden stand. To enhanced value and recognition, a shiny metal plate embedded with “Shamrock 1930” is provided.
The Shamrock V was launched by Sir Thomas Lipton after his fourth had lost. For his challenger, Lipton turned once more to Charles Nicholson, who produced a beautiful J Boat. When the races started, Shamrock found herself pitted against Enterprise. In the best-of-seven series Enterprise won four, Shamrock failed to score a single victory. The Shamrock V is still sailing and racing today.
This model measures 39.5" long from bow to stern. It's a fabulous Yacht that will be a conversation piece for any room or office.
